HTML Editor

Last Updated: October 24, 2026

HTML Editor ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") is an iOS and iPadOS application for writing, previewing and inspecting HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

This Privacy Policy explains what the App collects, what stays on your device, and which services help us run it. Your use of the App is also covered by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

In short: your code, files, projects and server logins stay on your device (or in your own iCloud Drive, if you choose it). We collect crash reports and anonymous usage statistics to keep the App stable and make it better. We do not show ads, we do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information.

HTML Editor is designed to keep the things you create on your device. We do not collect or transmit your HTML, CSS or JavaScript files, project or file names, editor settings, server details or the websites you open to our servers.

The App collects crash reports and anonymous usage statistics, described below, to help us understand and improve the App.

2. Data We Collect

Crash and diagnostic data. When the App crashes, a crash report is sent through Firebase Crashlytics (Google). It includes technical details such as the device model, iOS version, App version and where in the App the problem happened. It is used only to find and fix bugs.

Usage data. We use Mixpanel and Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used, for example which screens and tools are opened, whether a project was created, which template was picked, whether a lesson was finished, and which plan was bought and from which screen. Usage data also includes:

Coarse location. Mixpanel estimates your city, region and country from your IP address when usage data arrives. Mixpanel does not keep the IP address. The App does not read your device's location for this and does not ask for location permission for it.

Purchase data. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. RevenueCat receives the purchase details from Apple (product, price, date, trial and renewal status) together with an anonymous ID, so the App knows whether Pro is unlocked. RevenueCat passes these purchase events to our Mixpanel project under the same random ID.
